1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Service Terms”) govern your use of the temporary email service at tempmail.zulfanoon.com (the “Temp Mail Service”), operated by Zulfanoon (“we”, “us”). They supplement the general Zulfanoon Terms of Service at zulfanoon.com/terms (the “General Terms”), which are incorporated by reference. If these Service Terms conflict with the General Terms with respect to the Temp Mail Service, these Service Terms control.
2. Description of the Service
The Temp Mail Service provides randomly generated, anonymous, disposable email addresses on the @zulfanoon.com domain, together with a temporary inbox. The service is strictly receive-only: it can accept inbound email. It provides no ability to send email, reply, or forward, and no such capability may be inferred or implied.
The service requires no account, no password, and no personal information. A mailbox is created when you click “Generate” and is bound to your browser by a functional cookie (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Temporary, Revocable License — No Ownership
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, fully revocable license to use a single generated mailbox for lawful, personal purposes. You do not own the mailbox or the address. Addresses are randomly assigned from a shared public namespace; we may reclaim, reassign, block, suspend, or delete any address or mailbox at any time, for any reason, including collision with an operational address, abuse mitigation, or legal requirement.
4. No Privacy or Confidentiality Expectation — Read This Before Using
A Temp Mail inbox is protected only by the unguessability of its random address. Anyone who learns or obtains the address can read everything in that inbox. We do not provide per-mailbox passwords, encryption keys held solely by you, or access controls beyond the session cookie described in the Privacy Policy.
- Never use a Temp Mail address for banking, financial services, healthcare, government identity, employment, legal, or any account whose loss would harm you.
- Never use it for password recovery on accounts you care about — if the mailbox expires, that recovery path is gone forever.
- Do not send confidential information to a Temp Mail address if you would not post it publicly.
- You assume all risk arising from third parties discovering or guessing your address while it is active.
5. Data Lifecycle — Everything Is Deleted
- Mailboxes expire after 24 hours of inactivity. Activity (visits, polling) extends the window; expiry is automatic.
- An automated job deletes expired mailboxes and all their messages at least hourly. Deletion is permanent: there are no backups, archives, or export facilities.
- Inboxes are capped at 50 messages; the oldest messages are dropped beyond that limit.
- Email attachments are not stored — only their names, sizes, and types are listed.
- Generating a new address permanently deletes your previous mailbox immediately.
This lifecycle is a core feature of the service, not a defect. We are not liable for any loss arising from automatic deletion.
6. Acceptable Use — Hard Rules
You agree not to use the Temp Mail Service, directly or indirectly, to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- commit or facilitate fraud, deception, or misrepresentation, including large-scale abuse of free trials, promotions, or referral programs;
- evade bans, suspensions, or enforcement actions on other services;
- harass, stalk, intimidate, dox, or threaten any person;
- receive credentials, verification codes, or personal data that do not belong to you;
- participate in phishing schemes, spam-bombing, mail-bombing, or coordinated inauthentic behavior;
- create or receive content involving the sexual abuse of minors, terrorism, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, or any illegal goods or services;
- circumvent sanctions, export controls, or age-verification systems;
- impersonate any person or organization;
- generate addresses en masse via automation, resell the service, or circumvent rate limits.
We enforce technical limits (generation caps per IP, message caps, purge cycles) and may investigate violations using server-side logs available to us. We may report suspected illegal activity to law enforcement and comply with valid legal process.
7. Deliverability Disclaimer — No Guarantee of Receipt
Many third-party services detect and refuse disposable email domains, maintain shared domain blocklists, or apply their own filtering. We do not guarantee that any sender’s mail will be delivered to a Temp Mail inbox, that it will arrive within any timeframe, or that senders will permit use of disposable addresses at all. Delivery failures caused by sending-party filters are outside our control, and we are not liable for missed verifications, lost codes, or consequences thereof.
8. Content and Our Access to It
Messages received by a mailbox belong to their senders; you acquire no ownership over them. We do not review message content as a routine matter. We may access, process, or preserve message data where reasonably necessary to: operate the service (storage, sanitization, deletion), investigate abuse or security incidents, comply with law or valid legal process, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Zulfanoon, its users, or the public.
9. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Abuse Reports
We reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to monitor usage patterns, apply rate limits, block addresses, IP ranges, or sending domains, delete content, suspend access, and cooperate with law enforcement. Rights holders and members of the public may report abuse (including unlawful content, harassment, or fraud facilitated through the service) to [email protected] with specifics; we will act on valid reports within a commercially reasonable timeframe.
10. Copyright & Illegal Content Takedown
If you believe content transmitted through the Temp Mail Service infringes your copyright or is otherwise unlawful, send a notice to [email protected] including: identification of the work or content, the mailbox address and approximate time of receipt, your contact details, a good-faith statement of belief regarding unauthorized use, a statement made under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate, and your signature. Because mailboxes auto-delete within hours, preservation requests should be sent promptly; we will honor valid legal preservation demands to the extent technically feasible.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Temp Mail Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or fitness for any specific use case.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zulfanoon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities. Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for: (a) deletion or automatic expiry of mailboxes or messages; (b) missed, delayed, filtered, or undelivered email, however caused; (c) third parties reading a mailbox whose address they obtained; (d) actions taken against you by third-party services (account bans, lost trials, chargebacks); or (e) losses arising from using a Temp Mail address for a sensitive account contrary to Section 4. Our aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed EUR 0 (you pay nothing for the service).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zulfanoon and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Temp Mail Service, your violation of these Service Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or content sent to or received through a mailbox you used.
14. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate any mailbox or block any user, address, or IP at any time, with or without notice, including for suspected violation of these Service Terms, legal exposure, or infrastructure protection. Sections 4, 5, 11–13 survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Service Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, consistent with the General Terms and the location of our hosting infrastructure. Disputes shall first be addressed informally via [email protected]; unresolved disputes proceed under the dispute-resolution provisions of the General Terms. Consumers retain any mandatory rights under the law of their country of residence.
16. Changes to These Service Terms
We may update these Service Terms at any time by posting changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced on the Temp Mail homepage. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
